What is Twice The Kindness and who runs it?

Twice The Kindness is a mission-driven company that provides customized fundraising campaigns where each purchase of a gift bag both raises funds for your group and benefits someone in need. Every gift purchased spreads kindness twice—once to your organization and once to a deserving recipient (such as a veteran, senior, child in the hospital, or a person experiencing homelessness). Twice The Kindness was founded and is operated by Christine Lane, who has a strong background in caregiving, community service, and volunteer outreach. Her experience inspired the creation of a business that merges charitable giving with group fundraising.

What methods of payment do you accept for your gift bags?

Payments for gift bags are processed online only through the group’s custom fundraising shop via a square link. This has the ability to accept Apple Pay, Cashapp, and Google Pay. We are working on identifying ways to be able to accept other payment platforms, while undergoing special projects.

Can I set up a fundraiser?

Yes! Anyone representing a group or organization—such as a school, club, church, team, or business—can set up a fundraiser with Twice The Kindness. However, we will accept anyone who may need to raise some funds.

How can I go about setting up a fundraiser?

To set up a fundraiser:

  • Choose a campaign theme (e.g., “Gifts for Veterans” or “Holiday Cheer for Seniors”).
  • Contact TTK to start planning.
  • TTK will then create a custom online shop and QR code for your group.
  • You’ll run the fundraiser for 1–3 weeks, during which supporters buy gift bags online.
  • TTK handles fulfillment and delivery of the gifts.
  • Your group receives a fundraising check within two weeks of the campaign ending.

Is there only specific types of fundraising that you offer?

TTK focuses on gift-based fundraisers. Examples include:

  • Gifts for hospitalized children
  • Care packages for seniors
  • Hygiene kits for the homeless
  • Holiday gifts for veterans
  • However, if you need to raise funds for any reason. Please reach out to discuss your needs and goals with TTK to tailor a campaign.

How do I know my donations are going to [x] charity?

At Twice The Kindness, transparency is a top priority. Each fundraiser includes photo documentation of the gift deliveries, so you can see the impact firsthand. In many cases, we also receive thank-you letters from the organizations and recipients we support, which are shared with the fundraising group when possible.

If your group is running the fundraiser, you’ll receive a detailed report of all purchases and a check for your portion of the funds raised.

Looking ahead, as we expand into money-based fundraising, organizations will be able to connect their own Square or Stripe account to collect donations directly. In these cases, Twice The Kindness will provide the platform, set up a custom fundraising subsite with a unique URL, and receive a small 7% platform fee. From that fee, we commit to using a portion (at least 4 gifts) to support cancer patients and children in hospitals—continuing our mission to give back, even as we support other causes.

You can run your fundraiser for as short as one week or as long as two months—it’s completely up to your group! We’ll work with you to set dates that make the most sense for your audience, goals, and schedule.

How long can we run a fundraiser?

You can run your fundraiser for as short as one week or as long as two months—it’s completely up to your group! We’ll work with you to set dates that make the most sense for your audience, goals, and schedule.

Can we choose who receives the gifts?

Yes! Your group can absolutely choose the recipient organization or type of group you’d like to support—whether that’s a local veterans’ shelter, children’s hospital, senior center, or another cause close to your heart. We customize the gift campaign based on your choice.

How much does our organization receive from each gift package?

Your group receives 40% of the price of each gift package purchased during your fundraiser. It’s a simple and impactful way to raise funds while spreading kindness to those in need.

Can we run multiple fundraisers throughout the year?

Yes, absolutely! Many groups choose to run fundraisers seasonally or at different times of the year. It’s a wonderful way to support multiple causes and continue spreading kindness to more people in need across your community.

Do we need volunteers or staff to manage the fundraiser?

You’ll just need one point person from your organization to help share the fundraiser—via email, text, flyers, or social media. There’s no need to collect money (everything is processed online), and no inventory to handle. Twice The Kindness takes care of creating your online shop, processing orders, and delivering the gift packages to the recipients.

Can we meet the Twice The Kindness team when gifts are delivered?

Yes! You’re welcome to meet me (Christine) at the delivery location on the scheduled delivery date. It’s a wonderful chance to see the impact your fundraiser makes and connect in person.

When will gifts be delivered?

A delivery date is coordinated with the recipient organization and then shared with the group running the fundraiser well in advance so everyone is informed.
